You were there and saw me for who I really was

From being difficult to be with at times

To causing unnecessary stress

You were there, to guide me in the right path

To those who have stayed

From my mind intrigued by the darkness

To saying “I’m not good enough for these people”

You reassured me

You stayed

The amount of gratitude is endless

The love I feel is superior to the darkness

And I couldn’t have done that
